Using the Raindancer Power Supplies
Before you get started and can monitor your entire irrigation system conveniently in one app, there are just a few things you need to set up.
Power Supply Usage
Raindancer power supplies ensure that your solar panels stay reliably charged, even when there’s no sunlight available. Especially during cloudy days or overnight, the power supply automatically kicks in to provide steady energy, keeping your system fully operational at all times.
Correct Interpretation of Battery Status
Please note:
The battery status shown in the app always represents the status at the time of the last contact. Therefore, the battery voltage displayed only becomes meaningful once the Raindancer panel resumes regular communication.
Recommended Steps for Charging:
-
Getting Started:
Plug in your Raindancer power supply and select "Summer Mode" in the app. -
Initial Charging Duration:
Initially, charge your device for at least 8 hours. -
If No Connection Is Established:
If after 8 hours no connection is established, attempt a reset. Ideally, perform this reset outdoors in sunlight. -
For Deeply Discharged Batteries:
If the battery was deeply discharged, additional charging time may be required. In this case, keep your device connected for up to 24 hours. Typically, a system connection should be established within this period. -
Fully Charged Capacity:
A fully charged device can operate in Summer Mode for approximately 3 days without sunlight. -
Charging During Regular Operation:
A regularly communicating device typically reaches a full charge within a maximum of 8 hours when connected to a power supply.
